Day 14/16 | 13/15.05.2016: All our relief supplies have now been distributed

Full of anticipation we drove to a school in Karahan Koyu Muhtarligi in the remote mountains, and our expectations were met. Around ten school backpacks found new young owners. Toys and soft toys were also among the relief supplies handed over.

We then drove on to the school in Düzyayla Köyü / Hafik / Sivas, a poor mountain farming village, where we also distributed school bags, toys, soft toys, kitchen utensils and petrol canisters. The children and women had put on the traditional costume of the region especially for our visit.

The smiles of the children, the teachers, the mayor and all the gathered villagers lingered long after we drove on. The children and the local people waved to us and bid us such a warm farewell.
