Meet-and-Greet Event of the Europa Orient Rallye 2020

On Saturday evening, 29.02.2020, the meet-and-greet event of the Europa Orient Rallye 2020 took place in Neulussheim. Our entire team gathered at 1:00 pm at the Oase in Wohlen and we then drove together by minibus towards Germany.

The meet-and-greet event in Neulussheim near Mannheim served two purposes: on the one hand, to receive information directly from the organising committee about the rally schedule and the routes — in particular the stages in Turkey, Israel and Jordan. On the other hand, each team had the task of introducing themselves to the other teams with a presentation (see video below). There was also a first taste of what the rally has to offer, as a local catering company spoiled us with delicious Turkish food.

During our roughly three-and-a-half-hour drive, we discussed various organisational matters within the team, finalised our team presentation, and of course laughed a great deal.

Loaded with a wealth of information about the upcoming adventure rally — starting on 9 May 2020 in Mannheim — we headed home on Sunday. The return journey to Wohlen felt very short, and we all agreed that in around 68 days we would be setting off on the rally to Jordan.
