Coronavirus and the Rally

Dear Judo goes Orient - Friends

The extraordinary situation the whole world is currently experiencing and feeling unfortunately affects us too. As a result we cannot continue our activities as planned and are restricted in what we can do. In concrete terms, this means we have to push back certain planned activities.

Health comes first for us too — without question!

Even though the Europa Orient Rallye has not yet officially cancelled or postponed anything, the probability of our plans being delayed is extremely high. We are nonetheless continuing to prepare for the rally, for as long as we can comply with the federal government’s measures.

In our view, a decision right now is not yet necessary. We are monitoring the situation and can adapt quickly. Whether the rally will actually start on 9 May 2020 in Mannheim is something we will see in a few weeks.

One thing is clear to us: We will carry out our aid projects — if not in May, then a little later. Our hope is strong and we remain fully committed, heart and soul, to planning and completing as much of our project as possible.
