Postponed…
Dear Judo goes Orient – Friends
The developments surrounding the coronavirus and the measures ordered by the authorities across Europe are having a profound impact on the running of the Europa Orient Rallye 2020.
Protecting the health of rally participants comes first. The organisation of the Europa Orient Rallye has therefore decided that this year’s rally is being postponed to 2021.
This is more than a shame, because we as Team Judo goes Orient were ready – everything was organised and our stores were bursting with relief supplies… Our excitement about the 2020 rally and the destination in Jordan was enormous… Now the anticipation for the 2021 rally is already growing, because we can barely wait to get going.
With confidence and hope, our team immediately came up with a Plan B, which foresees us organising a “Mini-Rally 2020” for around 10 days, provisionally from 26 July to 4 August 2020, to the orphanages in Romania and Bulgaria.
This means that, provided borders are open again and entering and leaving is possible without issues, we will drive as Team Judo goes Orient with our three rally cars and fully loaded trailers carrying your relief supplies to the orphanage in Piatra Neamt in Romania and to the SOS Children’s Village in Tryavna in Bulgaria. This way we can still deliver the relief supplies collected to date to the children in the orphanages this year. We will now get in touch with the orphanages and organise everything necessary. As soon as we have news on this, we will report back immediately.
Helping a child may not mean the whole world to many –
but to the child, it can mean the whole world!
At this point we thank you for your trust and your donations, and we look forward to the exciting 12 months ahead with you, as we will be organising plenty more and keeping you informed accordingly.
Stay healthy!
Your Judo goes Orient – Team
