Rally feeling at the Klöntalersee
Last Friday our rally team set off from the Oase Wohlen at 6 p.m. to spend a weekend at the Klöntalersee in the canton of Glarus. It wasn’t just fun and games – we also wanted to test ourselves as a rally team.
After a relaxed drive to the Klöntalersee we were given a friendly welcome and promptly took up our two spots at the Güntlenau campsite. For the first time we set up our “wagon fort”, which – after a few discussions within the team and some small technical improvements – came together wonderfully. We quickly noticed that there was still room for improvement here and there in the wagon fort. The wagon fort was then duly inaugurated with a first beer cooled in the Klöntalersee.
After a hearty dinner we made ourselves comfortable around the two fire bowls well into the night. Sleeping in the rally cars for the first time was rated positively by the whole team, even though there isn’t a great deal of room to lie down and turn over. With a few bleary-eyed team members, the call went out: “time for a dip in the cold Klöntalersee.” The magnificent breakfast began with Lukas performing a coffee-making ceremony that will stay with us for a long time.
All in all the test weekend was a very positive experience, and we will implement the technical improvements in the remaining four weeks so that we can set off on our “Mini-Rally” with a perfected wagon fort. Wonderful photos were taken at the Klöntalersee – take a look for yourselves.
