Europa-Orient Rallye cancelled due to the virus — Plan B follows
For a long time the organisers and several rally teams were optimistic about being able to hold the Europa-Orient-Rallye despite the pandemic, following the rules, at the start of May 2021. Just a few days ago the signal came that the shipping of the rally cars from the Turkish city of Mersin to Haifa in Israel could work out.
But the situation in Germany, Switzerland, the quarantine rules in the transit countries on the Balkans as well as in Turkey, and finally contacts with the Foreign Office have now led the organisers to cancel the Europa-Orient-Rallye 2021 — or rather, to postpone it again to 07 May 2022.
We from the Judo goes Orient Team are of course sad and disappointed after the cancellation in 2020 and now also in 2021.
Plan B: Which we have been working on for some time, now becomes reality for our team. We will set off as Team Judo goes Orient on 05 May 2021 on our own and deliver the three tonnes of aid supplies to the orphanage in Piatra Neamt in Romania and the SOS Children’s Village in Tryavna in Bulgaria.
Follow us on our way to Romania and Bulgaria on Facebook, Instagram and judogoesorient.ch. We will activate a GPS tracker on our homepage.
