We have set off…
After long-awaited waiting and worrying due to COVID, today Wednesday, 05.05. punctually at 12:12 we set off from our Oasis in Wohlen.
Some friends, acquaintances and donors as well as the press saw us off by the roadside and wished us good luck and safe travels with shouts of encouragement.
First we are driving to Dättwil to take the PCR test required at the borders, then to the customs office in Thayngen in Schaffhausen. In the hope that we can clear customs and cross the border swiftly, our first stage destination will be a rest stop in the Salzburg region.
On Thursday, 06.05. we will then drive through Austria and Hungary on the transit route. The plan is for us to cross the border into Romania on Friday, 07.05., reaching the orphanage in Piatra Neamt on Friday evening or Saturday morning.
