Warm welcome at the Oase Wohlen…
Day 26: Innsbruck (A) – Wohlen (CH)
After a wonderful breakfast we leave Innsbruck heading for Switzerland. A relaxed and traffic-free drive accompanies us through the state of Tyrol. At the beautiful motorway service area Trofana Tirol near Imst we stop for a break and decide to take the Arlberg Pass. Arriving in Feldkirch, we cross the last border into Switzerland on our rally without any trouble. Welcome back in Switzerland… :-)
We arrive punctually, horns blaring and sirens wailing, at our Oase in Wohlen at 17:00. A large number of friends, family and loved ones are waiting for us with a huge round of applause and a lovely aperitif. A short welcoming ceremony follows, as everyone present is eagerly looking forward to hearing what we have to say over drinks and a cold beer.
Our team and our families are so glad that after roughly 7’000 km over three and a half weeks we are back home without any accidents, healthy and in high spirits.
A very heartfelt thank you goes to our sponsors, donors and supporters. They believed in us with their material and financial donations and made it possible for us to carry out this humanitarian charitable project. It is an indescribably wonderful feeling to see how we were able to deliver the aid supplies directly to the children in the orphanages in person.
A tremendous MERCI goes to our team, who always worked together with such great collegiality, helpfulness and dedication over the past two years on our project.
Now comes the time to unload, do the washing and process everything we experienced. The project is not over with this blog post, because in the coming days we will be sharing some numbers and facts about the 2021 rally.
And with all the photos and video footage we will create a film as well as a presentation. We look forward to enquiries about a live presentation, for example at company events, family gatherings, business clubs, etc.
