Grill & Chill | Was a Complete Success…

The number of participants was limited and places were highly sought after… A large number of sponsors, supporters, friends and families signed up for the exciting live account of the 2021 rally. We told them first-hand everything we had experienced during the 2021 rally to Romania, Bulgaria and back.

Preparations for our Grill & Chill began weeks ago and really picked up speed in the two days before the event. Our Oase had to be scrubbed spotless, the lawn in the large garden mowed and various trees trimmed. Only then could we set up the grill, the picnic benches and the technology for the presentation.

The fridges were filled to the brim with drinks and food on Friday evening so we were ready to entertain our guests. The approximately 80 registered sponsors, supporters, friends and families were looking forward to an exciting live account of the 2021 rally, and of course we did not want to disappoint them.

We were blessed with wonderful weather on Saturday, 21.08.2021 for our Grill & Chill. After all the guests had helped themselves at the salad buffet and the grill, we kicked off punctually at 7 pm with the presentation. After a brief introduction by team captain Andreas Schmid, our guests were taken through the entire 2021 rally «7,000 km in three and a half weeks» with photos, videos and stories.

As the evening wound down over coffee and cake, the audience showed great interest — including in the details of our rally — through their follow-up questions. Looking back, we can say that the Grill & Chill with the live account was a complete success.

In the coming weeks we will finish our video, which will then be available on our homepage www.judogoesorient.ch as well as on Facebook and Instagram.

At this point we would like to wholeheartedly thank the orphanage WKMS in Romania, SOS Children’s Villages in Bulgaria, as well as all sponsors and supporters — who made our project possible in the first place.
