New Project | School desks for the primary school in Bllice, Albania
It wasn’t long ago that we successfully completed our 2021 rally… Shortly after wrapping up all the final tasks, the organising started all over again… A phone call asking whether we could use school desks and chairs for Albania set a great deal in motion. We got into this new project step by step.
Indeed, shortly after completing the 2021 rally, we were approached by the Wohlen school asking whether we could make use of retired school desks, chairs and school supplies for our aid projects in Albania. This presented our team with a new challenge, which we were happy to take on. Honestly, one or two team members were already getting restless with no project to work on.
Back in December 2021 we got in touch with our partner VIZION O.J.F. in Albania to find out whether there was any interest in the school materials from Wohlen. The answer came clearly and very quickly: “Of course…!!!”
After an initial inspection in January 2022 and taking stock of the school materials in the Wohlen school buildings Bünzmatt, Junkholz and Halde, we were very impressed by the condition of the materials. For our project we are receiving around 200 retired school desks, chairs and other school supplies.
Chairs for Albania
We are now in the process of organising a freight company to transport the school materials to Albania. The plan is for the transport to take place at the start of July 2022 and we will be accompanying it.
Of course, all this school material doesn’t make its way to Albania for free… That’s why we are busy collecting donations for the transport. “Every penny counts…” We thank you for your donation to:
